Proposal Statement from Cycling experts:
Cycling in Dublin should be more inclusive, with particular attention to the needs of children and the fact that there are three male cyclists for every female cyclist in Dublin. Workplaces and educational institutions should provide better facilities for cyclists and should change dress codes and uniforms rules that discourage cycling
Question
Currently in Dublin only one woman cycles for every three men. Do you think forming women only cycle groups (e.g. women only bike maintenance groups) is the best way to be socially inclusive and encourage more women to cycle? When gender specific issues exist we should be able to come up with gender specific answers?
What is your opinion?
